I am moving in soon. I have not tried the food yet, but the menu looked very good. The staff is very friendly and answered my many questions easily and satisfactorily. Davis Such a warm and welcoming community. My mom loves it here! Mike the staff here is awesome, from the front desk to the wait staff they have always taken care of our parents like their own. The activities keep them active and they just added work out bikes upstairs. Th e rooms are up to date with nice floors and full size refrigerators.
He was nervous about leaving his home of 45 years but he became a social butterfly and met so many new friends at Independence Village. The staff is great and everybody's been really good to work with. She just got her hair done today actually. However, she had a complaint about the food. She said that the food is not much better than where she was.
I think the facility is in good shape. They were doing a few external repairs that needed to be done, and they are actually in the process of working on them. My motivation for selecting this community was its pricing and affordability. I looked at the other places nearby, and Independence Village was the most affordable that offered the most comprehensive services. The rooms are good for the price, and I also think they have a strong community. They showed us around, and of course we had to wear a mask.
I was very pleased with what they showed me. The price was more reasonable than the others I had read about, so I decided to come to this place. The staff is very nice and very helpful. My apartment is very nice; I'm really pleased with it. It's small, but not really small; it is pretty big enough for me. It is very nice. They deliver the meals to the apartments three times a day. Most meals are really good and really nutritious. They have a cleaning lady that comes in. She cleans the room once a week and changes the sheets on the bed.
They have activities. They have bingo maybe once a week, movies nearly every night, and different games for people to play. They have a laundry room with no extra charge where you can wash your own clothes. The hallways are very clean; they kept it up nicely.
Each apartment has its own cooling and heating system. You can adjust the temperature the way you want. The level of care provided is based on what you need. They have a nurse and the people on the second floor can help you if you need some kind of help. Or you can go to your own doctor. They have a bus that takes you to your doctors' appointments twice a week if you need to go.
I haven't taken part in the activities yet because you need to wear a mask. I'll have trouble breathing with an additional mask. I know they have activities, but I haven't taken part in them. I'm glad I came here.
It is a very nice and clean place. It's month to month, so if my parents decide they don't want to stay, they can leave. My dad thinks the food is very good. They have very helpful staff. The location is great, and they can walk to the stores. It looked so good. From my accent, the gentleman concluded that I know Spanish, so he put a couple of ladies at the door who spoke Spanish. They're nice people, very old, but very outgoing and they were speaking to me in Spanish, which was fun.
They spoke English too, so we conversed. There were people in the lobby who looked very happy. He showed us around the place and it had a very good feel to it. It looked kind of consolidated and it was not spread out.
There was a community feeling about the whole place. I'm not a very private person, I like chatting and doing things together with the people, so that appealed to me a lot. They had music and all kinds of programs coming up.
The staff member we spoke to has kept his word that he's not going to come back and pester me all the time. He introduced us to so many people who had gone to other places and still returned here.
There were people there who were over years old. The doors at the rooms had lovely wreaths. They had a grocery store across the street about four minutes away, so you're not totally isolated. You can be independent.
You have your own facility to cook anything you want. The accommodation was compact, but fine. It's not a home kind of place, but it is absolutely sufficient. If you're ready to move into that place, you need to downsize and go there.
I visited this facility 5 4 1. Jillian Independence Village of Olde Raleigh was nice, clean, older, and not fancy. The manager seemed genuine. They took people on trips to museums, served three meals a day, and had transportation on certain days of the week, which you signed up for to go to doctors' appointments. It's OK, and the staff is very friendly. I have a small studio apartment, but it's OK. The food is really good, and the dining area is OK. There are activities. It's very clean and any issues we have are taken care of promptly.
The staff is very good, extremely helpful, and address our needs immediately. The dining area is beautiful, and I believe the food is good. I am a friend or relative of a resident 5 5 1. What impressed me were the apartment size and the cost, nice exterior, and the diversity there. Home health care is on site; people seemed nice. The staff is OK. The bedroom is a good size; maybe a little bit under sq ft. The bathroom is decent, a little small kitchenette, sitting area. Most things were clean.
I am a friend or relative of a resident 5 3 1. Caring I liked the gentleman who showed me around Independence Village. He knew the people as we went through the community, they spoke to me, and I stopped and talked to several of them.
I liked the proximity of the place. Independence Village of Olde Raleigh is a pet-friendly community that was also recently renovated. Read blog. Follow us on Facebook.
