Pros Shippment, clients, Gse, and Bonuses. Cons Time off, scheduling Horrible with zero notice. Great company. Good work environment and work practice, good incentives and workers discount, decent pay and hours.
Management was helpful and insightful. Job was great and the management was really great. Enjoyed working and servicing the customers. The manager and GM were both amazing and made sure to attend to their employee needs. Not enough management training, did not get as many hours as promised, no employee recognition program. The employee discounts were fantastic though, that would be the only thing I miss about that job.
Pros Employee discounts. Cons Poor management and employee consideration. The staff was amazing but corporate was unfair and uncaring. The clothing was expensive and the discount was amazing but the pay was very poor. Unable to move up in the company and management was not communicative. Pros Discounts. Cons Management and Corporate. Not much business, could not to purchases or return for Dillards customers so was constantly try to hunt down a Dillards associate, most of which were snotty and busy were their little cliches.
Even the shortest shifts seemed like an eternity. Security makes it very uncomfortable watching your every move father than possible shoplifters. Pros Easy. Cons Boring, other staff, security. Lot's of caring and invested people with many years eaxperience.
Great experience, incredible boss that made me time there amazing! Worked in both retail ops and buying and the departments were aligned and worked well with one another. Lots of Drama in the days but Centric brands cleaned up the environment and made it much more professional. It is a neat and clean store and everyone is helpful and it is a excellent job to work at the district manger is nice and hr is friendly and nice my overall for the company is excellent.
My experience at BCBG was awful. Working here, I had to learn things on my own and solve problems quickly and efficiently. Luckily, I worked with a lot of great people and team players who helped as much as they could. Just note though, if you ever work there and constantly get yelled through no fault of your own, get out.
Not the best place to be. Nothing but gossip and rumors and snarky people stealing sales to make their own quota especially the manager. Higher level management is just as bad. My regional thought she was above everyone and I got in trouble for trying to talk to her about the shady things my boss was doing. Would never go back even if it was the last job in the world. Pros Absolutely nothing.
Cons Management, co-workers. I didn't work there long due to the fact that the company was liquidating. I would restock the store with clothes left near the dressing rooms and help customers find a shoe size in the stock room.
Pros long breaks, funny coworkers. Cons thieving customers. I loved this store and this job. It was like playing dress up. With beautiful clothes. I really enjoyed learning about fashion and helping people find items for they're special occasion. When I first started working for BCBG was in , I had no experience working in high end products so one of the things I was grateful was for them training me how to.
Although, I did study Fashion Design at an art school and thought there would be opportunity of growth. I started to work hard to become a great employee by filling hours for other locations and even hitting high targets that most supervisors were not able to meet but however I was able to in a day. Around April of my store manager was asked to transfer for the highest volume store location, he offered me to transfer along with him and I declined the transfer due to the fact that I loved our location and team.
But when we received a new store manager for that particular location she became obnoxious. Being number one for my location she started to become catty and takeover my customers including clients and wanted me to leave the company. I felt unwelcome and decided to contact my previous store manager in hopes to get transferred to his location.
Once transferred, the first two months I worked at the new location my store manager was on and off taking vacations and to make matters worse, things turned around for me.
The team did not received me very well because due to my high performance they felt that my store manager was giving me the best hours to hit the store's target. When this became a conflict most people decided to leave and one of the supervisors were asked to leave due to how offensive she became towards me.
The company never offered me a higher pay or a higher position, although I was asked - more Pros diversity, full benefits for supervisors, and transfers. Cons short breaks, no health care for employees that near 40 hours a week, no paid vacations for regular employees not sure about management , transfers are only allowed upon store managerial approve.
